Tiru Irani is a native of India. He left for the United States and graduated from Syracuse University with a Master's Degree in Communications. He worked for CBS –TV in production and then embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure in the field of group travel.

Tiru is the president of Far Horizons, an upscale, full service, group travel organization that offers Creative Tours of Special Interest. Tiru is actively engaged with large and small corporations and organizations in planning meetings and incentives. Far Horizons lends support to its clients in negotiating very special low group rates, for air, hotels and cruises.

Tiru has been circumnavigating the globe for the past three decades and has traveled to every continent and explored every major city and unique out-of-the-way heritage and cultural sites. He is widely recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and well traveled professionals in the travel industry.

He has been interviewed on Radio/TV and by every major trade and consumer journal. He has made innovative inroads on using travel as a tool to raise funds for various not-for-profit organizations and is among the first to recognize the need to establish sustainable tourism. He is a keen proponent of the "GO GREEN" message!

For six years he served as the president of APTANE (Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa). This is a not-for-profit trade organization with members from all the major travel destinations in Africa, including travel agents, tour operators, hotels, airlines and tourist boards. As the president of APTANE, Tiru went on frequent speaking engagements to bring to light the emerging and dynamic social and cultural life on the African continent.

He is one of the few who initiated the need for "Volunteer Tourism." It is his strong belief that in this global village environment, it is not enough to go "sight seeing," but also to engage in a "life seeing program" and become a part of a cultural event for a brief moment during the tour. This concept has caught on and more organizations allocate time for their groups to benefit from this experience.

He currently serves as the Chairman of NYPATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association), which is an organization similar to APTANE.

During his travels, he was privileged to meet Heads of State, Ministers of Tourism, and Social, Religious and Educational Leaders from many countries. He has developed an enormous networking platform in each of these countries that enables him to reach out and tap into both their social and commercial resources to help create exceptional and unique programs for his Special Interest Groups.

Tiru and Far Horizons are ready, eager, and exceptionally qualified to assist you with your important travel programs.
